Atlanta Dance Theatre welcomes all dancers to consider joining the Company. Dancers are selected by auditon for ADT, under the direction of Artistic Director, Jonnie Kelley. Auditions for the 2011-2012 Season will be held Saturday, April 23, for all current dancers as well as for those interested in joining the Company. Dancers must be nine years of age by October 1st of the audition year (10/1/11 for next season).

ADT is a comprehensive, year-long dance training program. Company dancers are required to train throughout the year to maintain flexibility and strength. Consistent attendance is critical to a dancer’s development. If class attendance becomes an issue, a dancer may not be eligible for consideration for special roles or advancement in the company. If a dancer is injured, attendance at all classes is still expected to observe the training presented.
Summer Requirements
All Company dancers are required to attend the ADT summer intensive program (first 3 weeks of June) where they will attend classes, audition, learn new choreography and rehearse for our spring ballet classic, repertory works, and Babes In Toyland.
Many colleges and dance companies offer summer intensive programs. Dancers may choose to participate in one of these programs in addition to the ADT intensive program.
